Before ordering a PEM electrolyzer, check that the supplier’s documents describe the equipment you are actually buying. A brochure, a company certificate and a test report answer different questions. Review their scope and consistency instead of treating them as interchangeable proof.
This checklist is for universities, laboratories, OEMs, integrators and industrial buyers preparing supplier qualification. Hele Titanium Hydrogen is a PEM equipment supplier; this website presents our products and engineering support, rather than a marketplace of independent vendors.
Review company and manufacturing information · Request technical documents · Send your qualification requirements
1. Match the supplier, product and quotation
Confirm the legal contracting party, manufacturing or integration role, contact details and proposed equipment. Distinguish an in-house stack, an integrated system and equipment sourced from project partners. The purchase documents should make these responsibilities explicit.
Check that the product name, model, capacity reference and configuration agree across the quotation, datasheet, drawings and acceptance plan. Ask for clarification when documents use the same model name for different scopes.
2. Request documents for the current purchase stage
| Document group | What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Company and manufacturing information | Contracting entity, location, actual manufacturing/integration role and relevant capabilities | Identifies who is responsible for the supplied equipment |
| Model datasheet | Revision, rated conditions, output reference, gas quality, pressure, electrical and utility boundaries | Provides a consistent technical basis for selection |
| Equipment and scope list | Included items, options, exclusions and purchaser-supplied services | Prevents a stack-only offer being mistaken for a complete plant |
| Interface drawings | Approved revisions, mounting, electrical terminals and water/gas/cooling connections | Supports mechanical and system integration |
| Inspection and test plan | Test configuration, conditions, instruments, pass criteria and required records | Makes factory acceptance reviewable |
| Applicable certificates and declarations | Issuer, holder, validity, model or equipment coverage and relevance to the destination | Clarifies what each document actually demonstrates |
| Handover and service information | Manuals, maintenance, spares, commissioning responsibilities and agreed warranty | Defines the support available after shipment |
3. Check performance statements against their conditions
For hydrogen output, establish the reference temperature, pressure and dry or wet basis. For purity, identify the sampling point and whether gas treatment is included. For energy consumption, distinguish stack DC input from package AC input and auxiliary equipment.
A published maximum, a rated operating value and a design limit serve different purposes. Request the appropriate operating envelope and acceptance basis for the selected configuration. Where a value is unresolved, mark it as awaiting engineering confirmation.
4. Verify test evidence without overextending its meaning
A sample test report can show the supplier’s reporting method. The shipment record should identify the actual unit or module, approved configuration and agreed test results. If witnessing is required, agree the participants, programme and release decision in advance.
Request authorised, relevant project references where available. A photo or third-party project does not establish HELE’s supply role or the performance of your proposed model. Confidential customer information should be shared only under appropriate release arrangements.
5. Keep a qualification register
For each requested item, record the document number, revision, date received, equipment covered, reviewer, outcome and open action. Use clear states such as requested, received, clarification needed and accepted for the defined purpose.
Not every engineering drawing is available before an order or confidentiality agreement. Ask which documents can be supplied at enquiry, design review, factory acceptance and shipment. The proposal should identify the documentation included in the agreed supply.
What to ask HELE
Use the stack range for OEM module enquiries and the system range for complete equipment. Our service information helps frame technical selection, integration and handover discussions.
The list above describes documents a buyer may request; it is not a claim that every file, certification or service is available for every model. Confirm availability, revision, confidentiality and release stage with the team.
Request a supplier-qualification document review
Send your company or institution, destination, application, model or output range, purchase stage and required document list. Include any mandatory qualification deadlines so the team can confirm what is applicable and available.
